New Richmond -- Alvin Eugene Gray, 72, a farmer in the New Richmond community for most of his life, died Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the home of Frank Furr here. He had been ill several years. Death was the result of a heart ailment. Born Oct. 21, 1879 in Harlan county, Kentucky, he was the son of William and Laura Hines Gray. He married Cora Hibbs in 1906. He was a member of the Church of Christ, in Kentucky. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Faye Paxton, of Crawfordsville; a brother, William Gray, of Louisville; a sister, Mrs. Alice Ellis, of Louisville and two grandchildren.
